The Birthday Crown design is simple and fun to make, and the results are pretty great! The pattern comes with 5 size options to make the Birthday Crown for Babies through Adults! Number appliqués 0 – 9 are also included, allowing you to make any number or combination of your choice! Make the perfect, personalized First Birthday Crown, honor an Over the Hill Birthday celebration, or anything in between!

Let’s talk about yarn for a moment. There are a lot of different options you can use successfully with this Birthday Crown pattern. I have always been a big fan of cotton yarns for their great colors and durability. Acrylic yarns on the other hand offer a nice softness and a bit more stretch than cotton. Many of my Etsy customers have requested a Sparkly Birthday Crown, and there are a few that work really nicely for that. The pattern calls for Worsted Weight yarn, but you can also double up a sport weight yarn with great results. So here below are my favorite sparkly yarns that all make a fantastic sparkly Birthday Crown.
