Amigurumi Flowers and Vase
New Crochet Pattern!
Are you totally over winter and ready to welcome spring with open arms and a hook in your hand? One of my favorite signs of spring is new life and new growth – from buds on trees, to grass peeking through the snow, to the first flowers of the year. So I really wanted to make a pattern to welcome spring, because it’s almost here y’all! So a sweet set of flowers and of course a crochet vase to hold them seemed like the perfect pattern to create for spring! I hope y’all love this new pattern as much as I do! 🙂

Easy Crochet Flower Pattern
I have enjoyed designing amigurumi patterns made for play since my kids were tiny. They keep growing up, as children tend to do, but I have noticed that these playsets still get used. Which has encouraged and inspired me to create more patterns like these. I love to design open ended toys, that can be used in a multitude of ways and encourage the use of imagination.
I think we did the trick with this new 3D Flowers pattern, and I loved getting feedback from my testers as they were making their crochet flowers that their kids were already enjoying playing with them. That’s exactly we want, amiright? But this pattern is also so much more than a toy! You can crochet a bouquet of flowers to give to your mom or grandma for Mother’s Day! You can also crochet the flowers and vase to display in your home for spring or all year round! There’s nothing better than a beautiful floral arrangement you don’t have to water or replace. If you like to donate your crochet makes, these would be a lovely gift for a local church or retirement home where they would surely be cherished and appreciated!

Crochet Flower Bouquet
With this pattern you can crochet a flower vase and a whole crochet bouquet of flowers! The vase and stems are just simple repeats of single crochets, you just want to use a stitch marker to help keep track of the beginning and end of your rounds. Easy peasy! The pattern includes instructions for the vase, stem, and leaves. The pattern also includes an adorable Daisy flower crochet pattern, rolled rose which resembles an open rose, a tulip (this one is my favorite!), and a carnation pattern too – including a small adaptation to the stem to get an accurate carnation look! Each flower is made differently from one another, which I think makes the pattern more fun to make! You will also find that you probably prefer one method over another, so you can make more of the ones you like – just change the colors a bit for variety, or make them all the same for a stunning display, the choice is yours! I want you to love making and using your crocheted flowers as much as I loved making mine! 💜

Crochet a Flower Bouquet!
This amigurumi vase and flower crochet pattern is perfect for an intermediate crocheter or a confident advanced beginner who is ready to tackle simple amigurumi, a bit of shaping, and a small amount of sewing! I have included a ton of photo tutorials for making and assembling each flower, adding the stems, and shaping the vase. You will be able to confidently say you KNOW how to crochet a 3D flower and make a crochet vase once you’ve completed the pattern!
Here’s what you need to get started: 100-200 yards of Red Heart Super Saver Ombrés or your choice of worsted/aran weight 4 yarn in green and various color for the petals and vase. This project works perfectly for scrap yarn and is a great way to give new life to the ends of skeins you have lying around, or those bits of yarn that weren’t enough to make anything else with. You could also use DK 3 weight yarn for the flower petals too. You will need a US F/5 3.75 mm hook ← I highly recommend this gorgeous beauty! My 100% go to hooks for amigurumi are Furls Odyssey Hooks, I loved using mine to create these gorgeous crocheted flowers! Chenille sticks for adding the stems are optional, but they really help the stems stand up, and give them a bit of bend which makes them extra fun for play, and makes arranging the flowers for display way easier for you too!
Below are the yarns I used to create my samples! For this project I used RHSS Ombrés in Spearmint and Green Apple for the stems. I used all my fave scraps for the petals including Purple, Jazzy, Coral, and Hot Sauce. I made one vase in Scuba and the other one in Violet. I absolutely love how they all turned out. 😍 I think you will have a LOT of fun choosing your colors for this project. Whether you go for a single color or ombré look, or if you break out the scrap yarn and make a rainbow of flowers, you are sure to love your finished project! P.S. I am now going to make a rainbow of flowers! How did I not think of this before???
