Crochet Christmas Decorations
My stunning Hopscotch Bauble crochet pattern works up quickly! I was able to make several in under an hour, so you know these crochet baubles are great for quick gifts or decking your tee i no time! The Hopscotch Bauble crochet pattern is rated intermediate. There are a couple fun new stitches to learn, and you do complete the final round with the plastic ornament inside, but don’t worry my amazing hookers! I have included tons of photos to guide you!
These hopscotch ornaments are perfect and fun for a Netflix and chill project, especially if you’re making a few at once. You can binge your fave series on Netflix or Prime Video, or pick a new, tantalizing audiobook, while working on your Christmas Baubles! I just started listening to Fourth Wing on Audible after hearing rave reviews and many recommendations. The second book in the series Iron Flame came out this year and has topped the best seller charts! Books are by author – Rebecca Yarros. So far I’m loving the book and can’t wait to read the next! 💜

Best Yarn for Crochet Baubles
The best yarn for a crocheted ornament is worsted or aran weight in your choice of fiber. I personally chose yarn based on the colors I wanted for my crochet baubles. I love the fab colors of Red Heart Super Saver Ombrés and the sturdiness of this yarn for making home decor like Christmas Baubles! Other popular brands of worsted weight cotton yarn I love are Basic Stitch from Lion Brand, Paintbox Cotton Aran, and Furls Wander Acrylic.
Here’s what you need to get started: 40 – 50 yards of yarn per ornament, plus a plastic ornament 67-70 mm. You will also need a H/8 – 5.0 mm crochet hook. ← I highly recommend these gorgeous beauties! My 100% go to hooks are Furls Streamline Resin Hooks – they glide over the yarn even in tight spots like around the top of your ornament. I loved using mine to create this Hopscotch Bauble Crochet Pattern! 😍 No matter what you choose, I think you will have a LOT of fun picking out your yarn and colors for this project.
