Wine Tote Bag Features

I don’t know about y’all, but I like an easy option for toting around my favorite beverage. My Wine *ahem* Book Club is a BYOB affair, and I love to bring a bottle or 2 of my favorite wine to share! 🍷 Likewise my sister always brings wine to share at family celebrations like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yay sis! 😊 So it seemed only natural to design a cute and convenient Crochet Wine Bottle Tote Bag for this extremely important job! Who’s with me?

Not one to make just one version/mod of anything, I of course had to make this pattern with all the conveniences my own heart desires… so I could share them with you! So with the Sweet Stripes Wine Bottle Tote Bag you get a Single Bottle Tote Bag Pattern that is lined for extra protection for your “grape juce”. You also get a Double Bottle Tote Bag Pattern that is both lined and has a reinforced bottom because now we’re getting really serious about our wine. 👈 You are my people! 😉 As a bonus I also created a Wine Gift Bag Pattern so you can take those gifts up a notch when you a giving the greatest gift of wine! Yay! 🍷 

Easy to make Wine Tote Bag in 2 sizes!

The Sweet Stripes Wine Bottle Tote Bag can be made for a one or two bottles of wine, so you can tote along all the wine you need, wherever you’re headed! The Single and Double Totes are designed to fit standard 750 mL bottles.

The Single Bottle Tote and Gift Bag version are pretty quick to make! The Double Bottle Tote takes a bit longer, but it’s totally worth the time and dedication!! 🍷  The Sweet Stripes Wine Gift Bag will add that something extra to your next hostess gift! You know that the gift of a a handmade bag coupled with a bottle of wine is sure to be appreciated! 😉  They make it easy to thank your favorite Teacher, Hair Stylist, or your favorite Sister with a cute and useful handmade gift!! I will be making one for my Dad (shhhh… don’t tell him!) because he’s the one who taught me about wine and Dad’s are notoriosly hard to shop/crochet for!! 🍷  Don’t forget to make one for yourself too!

Make a Sweet Stripes Wine Bottle Tote Bag!

I have rated this Wine Tote Bag pattern as an Easy level Crochet Pattern, appropriate for advanced beginners and beyond. There are not any complicated stitches used in the pattern. I have photo tutorials for creating a Magic Circle and included a link to view my video tutorial. I have also included a photo tutorial for seaming the lining layer to the tote, and adding the bottom to the Double Tote. I recommend that you use plastic canvas or acrylic to reinforce the bottom of your Double Bottle Tote!

The Sweet Stripes Wine Bottle Tote and Gift Bag were designed to be created with Red Heart Super Saver Solids, Super Saver Stripes, or my personal favorite Super Saver Ombré and works up beautifully in their stunning array of colors! You could easily substitute a similar worsted weight yarn with very nice results too!
