MAKE YOUR TINY DINO INTO A CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT!
Don’t stop there! Kids love dinosaurs So Much, that adding them to the Christmas Tree is a no-brainer!
Transforming your small amigurumi dinosaur into a Christmas ornament is a fun and creative way to add a touch of holiday fun to your decorations. With just a few simple modifications, you can make your tiny dino into a delightful holiday keepsake. Here’s how to do it:
Steps:
-
Choose a Spot for the Hanger: Determine where you want to attach the hanger. A good spot is usually at the top of the dinosaur’s back or head. Make sure to add a small loop of yarn or ribbon for hanging.
-
Attach the Hanger: Thread your yarn needle with a piece of yarn or ribbon, and insert it through the chosen spot. Create a loop for hanging and secure it with a knot. You can make a simple loop or a decorative bow, depending on your preference.
-
Decorate for the Holidays: Add some holiday flair to your dinosaur ornament. You can sew on small embellishments like tiny Santa hats, scarves, or even little ornaments for your dino to hold.
-
Hang and Enjoy: Your amigurumi dinosaur Christmas ornament is now ready to adorn your tree, wreath, or any other festive display. Hang it using the attached loop or ribbon.
Remember to get creative and customize your tiny dino with your favorite holiday-themed colors and decorations.

Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get
a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using
the same blog platform as yours and I’m having problems finding one?
Thanks a lot!
Hi Good Friday Wishes! I’m not sure if it varies from web host to web host, but I just found mine by searching in the plugins section from my control panel. I am no expert Lol just learning as I go with the website. Hope that helps & thanks for reading! 🙂 <3 Lisa
Lisa, thanks for sharing this adorable pattern. I was looking for a little something extra to go with a baby blanket, bootie & hat set for a friend’s new baby. This little guy is perfect….a cute gift topper they can s use as a decoration or take along toy.
My pleasure! I am so glad you enjoyed the pattern. Those are some great ideas for a gift! Thank you 🙂
Really frustrated because I can’t see the pattern! Please let me know how to fix it🦖
Hi Sharon,
A few people have had trouble like yourself. There should be a box that pops up asking you to enter your email address and subscribe to my newsletter to view the free pattern. The best thing to try is to refresh the page or try accessing from another browser. I am working on trying to get the blog running more smoothly, but I am the sole person running this website, without a lot of tech knowledge. This patter is available on ravelry for $2 for the PDF version as well.

I don’t have pop ups blocked but for some reason there isn’t a blue box 😔 I really wanted to make some of these for my nieces and nephews. I think they would love these but can’t access the pattern
Hi Nicole,
So sorry that I am still working to resolve this issue and figure out why it only happens to some viewers.
Thanks for your patience!
Lisa Fox
Can anyone please point me in the right direction to find the pattern please? I get the ‘head’ part but after the head it just says finished!!
Hi Hannah,
I’m sorry you’re having trouble. There is supposed to be a box that pops up and asks you to enter your email in order to view the pattern instantly. However it seems a few of my users are not seeing the box. I am working on a fix for this problem, as well as a PDF copy of the pattern that will be available on Ravelry soon.

Thank you for the pattern. I have not started yet but was writing it down first to crochet infront of the telly. On your tail instructions, you missed row 7 & 8. Would that be sc for both? thanks
Hi Nicole!
Hope you enjoy the pattern. The last 2 rounds of the tail are actually 7 and 8. I had them mis-labeled in my post as 9 and 10, so thank you for bringing that to my attention!! I have corrected the pattern on the site.
Thank you for visiting!

i am in looove with this pattern, my friends daughters birthday was coming up and she liked dinos so i wanted to make this for her but i couldn’t find any pattern! then i stumbled upon this and immediately went to work because this is a beautiful pattern thank you so much!!
Hi! For this pattern- is R1 the magic circle? Or do I make a magic circle and then add R1 onto it? (Ex. for the neck, does it mean do 7 stitches & a slip stitch in the magic circle to start? Or do I always start with 6 stitches in the circle as shown in the video and THEN start row 1? Thank you so much!
Hi Ally,
Yes! R1 is the stitches you place magic circle, so you will follow the written directions – for the neck it will be 7 sc in the magic circle for R1, 6 sc for all of the other parts! 🙂 Hope that answers your question! Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions and thanks for visiting!

How cute is this little fella? My kids love dinos and they’re gonna love this little cutie.
This is such an adorable pattern! Do you know how much yarn it needs? I don’t know if I have enough and I want to use up some old yarn.
These little dinosaurs are adorable. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
