Hello friends! Thanks so much for stopping by! Welcome to the next installment of Weekend Crochet – Tips & Tricks! Today I will share one of my favorite methods that I have learned as a Crochet Artist. Magic Circle Crochet!
I will be sharing a both a photo tutorial with written description and a video tutorial for each of the Magic Circles. Included are Single Crochet Magic Circle, Half Double Crochet Magic Circle, and Double Crochet Magic Circle methods.
The Magic Circle Foundations are a great technique to give a good foundation for any pattern worked in the round! I love to use a Magic Circle when making hats, dish cloths, and amigurumi patterns to name a few! I highly recommend the Magic Circle method for the first round of the following Free Crochet Patterns so you can get lots of practice with this technique!!
My Rainbow Crown Crochet Pattern is ready and I am so excited to share this pattern with you! This Crochet Crown Pattern is ON SALE for just 3 days, MAY 2nd – 4th! Read on to get the details!
The Rainbow Crown is by far my most popular Crochet Crown Design! Similar to my Flora Crown, the Rainbow Crown idea came about because of my love of color, but also because I wanted to expand upon my Basic Crochet Crown. I have had numerous requests over the years for the pattern, and it’s finally ready for you! For those who don’t crochet, but still want in on the Rainbow Crown fun, I also sell my finished Rainbow Crowns on Etsy.
The Rainbow Crown has a lot of options for striping patterns, colors, and more so you can customize it to suit anyone! Beyond the Classic Rainbow Crown of 7 colors, you can create yours in an ombré pattern, create a color block crown with 4-5 colors, a striped crown with 2 colors or create a striping pattern of your own! I have also included a detailed photo tutorial, and link to video tutorial for weaving in all those ends and hiding them really well! I hope you love the Rainbow Crown Crochet Pattern as much as I do! 🙂
The Rainbow Crown Pattern is an Easy Crochet Pattern, that can be completed by an advanced beginner and beyond. The color changes take place at the beginning of each round, so even an advanced beginning can make this with my thorough instructions! The Rainbow Crown Pattern, comes in 8 sizes, and includes photo tutorials to help you add the Crown peaks, and detailed photos and written instructions for creating the foundation half double crochet, as well as a link to my Fhdc video tutorial! You can learn to create a foundation hdc tutorial and many more stitches in my Learn to Crochet section. I have many tutorials here on my blog to learn any Crochet Techniques that are new to you, as well as video tutorials on my YouTube Channel! I am also more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the Rainbow Crown pattern, stitches, or techniques! 🙂
My newest crochet pattern is ready and I am so happy to share it with you! The Flora Crown Crochet Pattern is ON SALE this week for 3 days ONLY, MARCH 30 – APRIL 1st! Read on to get the details!
The Flora Crown was actually one of my earliest designs! I wanted to embellish my Basic Crochet Crown with a flower and leaves, and so the Flora Crown was born! Back then because I was still very new to designing, I used another designer’s flower and leaves pattern to sell my finished Flora Crowns on Etsy shop. It wasn’t until this year that I finalized a flower and leaf design of my own that I truly loved!
The Flora Crown actually features two sets of flowers and leaves, both with multiple size options, so you can truly customize this beauty! The first set were published as part of my recent release the Crown Ear Warmer, the Rolled Rose and Chain Leaves. The second set was designed exclusively for the Flora Crown Crochet Pattern and I think they are something special! The Button Flower and Leaves that are only available with the Flora Crown are some I’ve been working on for a number of months (off & on) to perfect. I am in definitely very pleased with the final result, and I hope that you are too! 🙂
The Flora Crown Pattern is an Easy Crochet Pattern, that can be completed by an advanced beginner and beyond. Welcome back to the next step in your Learn to Crochet Journey – the Half Double Crochet Stitch! Just one additional step takes you from a single crochet to a half double crochet stitch! What’s more, with a half double crochet stitch you can crochet bigger, faster and create so many things from garments, to hats to blankets!
This Learn to Crochet Series was designed to help you learn to crochet in the same manner I learned! For me, the most accessible method to learn crochet was through the help of books, YouTube videos (like those you will find below!), and beginner patterns. While there are some fantastic programs out there, as a busy mom I preferred this method of learning rather than having a formal “teacher” and classes.
The other aspect that of self paced teaching that I like is that you can learn without pressure, at your own pace, and in your own time. Like I stated above, this makes it perfect for busy moms (like me!) or students who need to work at their own pace! Or those who don’t have a lot of free time to take a class or seminar, but are eager to learn! Crochet is a wonderful creative outlet! When I found crochet, I knew that I was HOME! 🙂 I hope it feels the same for your too, but if it doesn’t, learning this way won’t cost you much time or money – Hooray! So, let’s get started!
