Polka Dot Fingerless Gloves
New Crochet Pattern!
Do you have a favorite fall accessory? Mine is Fingerless Gloves, hands down… Pun intended! 😜 (You should know what you’re getting into here!) There is just something so deliciously cozy about slipping on some warm crochet mittens. I don’t know if it’s the warm hands, the fact that I can still drive or use my phone, or a combination of these but Fingerless Mittens are like magic! If you agree, then you are going to love my latest crochet pattern – the Polka Dot Fingerless Mittens! They are cute and classic, and with 4 sizes you can make a pair for everyone in your family! 🧤

Simple Fingerless Gloves
Whether you call them Fingerless Mittens, Fingerless Gloves, Wrist Warmers, Hand Warmers, Arm Warmers or Texting Gloves… (😅 there are a lot of names for these fab gloves!) there is no denying that in today’s multi-tasking culture these babies are a necessity! Hands warm, fingers free for using your phone, driving, buckling your babe into their carseat, paying at the drive thru, cheering at a sporting event, or whatever else your life demands of you!
The Polka Dot Fingerless Mittens Pattern design uses simple stitches, and includes detailed instructions for changing colors. I adore the mini puff polka dots and nearly seamless finish you can achieve with this pattern! In fact, I loved this Polka dot stitch pattern and the amazing City Tweed Aran Yarn gifted to me for this pattern by WeCrochet so much that I have several more coordinating patterns in the works, including a beanie, scarf, and ear warmer! I love a matching set so much, don’t you?
If you’re like me and love crocheting matching accessories you will want to check out the cute fall and winter accessories in my Sweet Stripes Collection! You can make coordinating Sweet Stripes Fingerless Gloves with the Sweet Stripes Slouchy Hat or Sweet Stripes Ear Warmers! Plus you can pair those with either the Sweet Stripes Circle Scarf or the Sweet Stripes Skinny Scarf! Plus these are all quick and easy crochet patterns to make, with each only requiring one skein of yarn! Woohoo! 🧶

Cozy Crochet Fingerless Mittens
How do you feel about color changes in crochet? Are you confident, terrified, or somewhere in between? With the Polka Dot Glove Crochet Pattern, you only use one color each round, and let the other color hang inside. So you don’t have to worry about changing colors every other stitch, or weaving in a ton of ends either! Crochet is meant to be fun, right?
The pattern includes 4 sizes so you’ve got the whole family covered from – Toddler Mittens, to Child sized Gloves, to Small Adult Wrist Warmers perfect for teens and many adults and Large Adult Gloves for those with larger hands! I will also teach you how to do a chainless foundation single crochet, because this is my favorite way to begin a pattern where a little extra stretch is needed! The pattern includes a photo and written tutorial with a link to my YouTube tutorial too!
I love to give my patterns a Netflix and Crochet approval rating! This one is definitely down for some binge watching! Once you have the pattern repeats down, it’s simple repetition, you just need to pay attention to where you are placing your stitches on certain rounds and your increases for the thumbhole. You got this! What do you like to binge on while you crochet? Are you a series watcher, movie watcher, or maybe you love to listen to music or audiobooks? I prefer series with lots of episodes to binge on or audiobooks, myself! 💜

Crochet Polka Dot Mittens
My testers let me know that they found this pattern easy to follow! I strive to include detailed photo tutorials to help illustrate any technique that may be challenging or unclear. So with the frequency of the color changes and the shaping involved in making mittens, I have rated this pattern for intermediate level crocheters. I am quite sure that a confident advanced beginner could definitely tackle the pattern with my included photo tutorials!
Here’s what you need to crochet your fingerless gloves: 2 balls in the colors of your choice City Tweed Aran yarn by WeCrochet or 180 – 300 yards of your choice of aran/worsted weight (4) yarn, and an I/9 5.5 mm crochet hook. ← I highly recommend this fab set of ergonomic hooks! That’s it! Simple, right?
Below are the yarns I used to create my samples! I want to thank WeCrochet for generously providing the yarn I used to create this fab pattern! I used City Tweed Aran in Jacquard and Orca for my fingerless mittens and Romance and Brocade to create my toddler’s fingerless gloves! This yarn is so easy to work with, and it is lovely and warm to wear! I love the tweed and the entire line of gorgeous colors available! You can create a gorgeous POP of color by choosing contrasting colors or a dark and light hue, or you can pick 2 colors or shades that are similar for a more subtle polka dot effect! Which colors will you choose?
